£1,000 prize comes at a perfect time for couple

A Long Sutton woman won £1,000 in a national photographic competition.

Sara Dafter picked up the money after a photoshoot with her family and boyfriend Mathew Morley at Veena's Holbeach Studio.

Photographer Veena Cornish is a member of the Lightportraiture National Photographers' group, which had been running the competition since October.

Sara's ticket was drawn by the manager of Marks and Spencer's branch in Hayle, Cornwall.

Veena said the competition had boosted her business in the run-up to Christmas.

She added: "Sara is a delightful young lady who is just setting up in a new house with Mathew, and the prize came at just the right time for them."
