A pilot who has flown the iconic Lancaster aircraft around the world is making a return visit to Ayscoughfee Hall, in Spalding, to give a talk on his fascinating career.

Mike Chatterton (pictured), who taxies the Lancaster ‘Just Jane’ at the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre, in East Kirkby, near Spilsby, will visit Ayscoughfee at 2pm on Saturday, November 19.

The talk follows a previous visit from Mr Chatterton in September which sold out weeks in advance.

Aided by photos and video clips, the pilot will give a presentation called ‘A Tale of Two Lancs’, in which he describes some of his favourite moments flying the famous aircraft.

Demand for this event is also expected to be high, so anyone interested in attending is advised to book places quickly.

Tickets cost £5 and can be booked in advance by calling Ayscoughfee Hall on 01775 764555 or emailing museum@sholland.gov.uk
