Artistic youngsters have been awarded medals and certificates for taking part in The Great South Holland Artsathlon.
Originally inspired by the London 2012 Olympic Games, The Artsathlon invites children aged from four upwards to take part in arts activities during the summer holidays.
This year participants enjoyed over 100 sessions and they were rewarded for their efforts during a special ceremony at the South Holland Centre in Spalding last week.
Coun Gary Taylor, portfolio holder for community, handed out medals and certificates to the delighted children.
Participants were awarded points for each activity and these were added up to determine who could win either Bronze, Silver or Gold medals.
Activities included visual and performing arts workshops, creative writing sessions and watching shows at the South Holland Centre and Ayscoughfee Hall.
CounTaylor said: “It was a pleasure to present the medals to the children in recognition of the efforts they put into creative activities during the summer holidays.
“I would like to thank everyone who took part.
“I am sure they all enjoyed themselves.”
