Whaplode Drove kickboxer Jack Bristowe (16) is celebrating the biggest success of his career so far after winning three titles in the USA.

The Spalding Grammar School student dominated the under 18s division at the ISKA (International Sport Kickboxing Association) US Open in Orlando, Florida, at the weekend.

More than 3,500 competitors from at least 50 countries took part in what is seen as the biggest martial arts event in the world.

Bristowe said: “I managed to win every division I entered and I’m taking three massive trophies home from the biggest tournament in the world.

“This is possibly the best thing that someone at my age can achieve in martial arts and I’m so happy.”

Dave Venables, director of sport at Spalding Gramar School, said: “We are proud of Jack’s achievements and we hope to continue supporting him in his sporting ambitions for the future.”
