Joshua leading the way at Cadwell Park as he raises cash for the ambucopter.
Joshua decided to help Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance after his great-nan was ferried from her home in Holbeach St Marks to hospital in just 13 minutes.
His great-nan had heart problems earlier this year and was speeded to Lincoln County Hospital while family making the trip in their car took an hour-and-a-half to get there.
Joshua’s dad, Martyn, said the whole family is very proud of Joshua for organising the walk of around 2.2 miles.
Martyn said: “Joshua was joined on the walk by around 30 drivers and team members from the Classic Touring Racing Car Club and raised a total of £700 for Lincs and Notts Air Ambulane by tackling the Mountain. My nan was totally amazed and really proud of Joshua, as we all are.”
Joshua attends Staniland Academy in Boston and lives in the town with Martyn, who works in Boston’s London Road Bakery, and mum Emma.
Martyn and Emma lived in Holbeach St Marks until ten years ago when they moved for work reasons.
Martyn (34) describes Joshua as very caring.
He said: “He’s a very thoughtful little lad. He does his best to help anyone he can.”
Martyn and Emma did the walk with Joshua and were delighted to see race team members joining them on the track along with TV presenter Ant Anstead, from The Love of Cars, who had his picture taken with their son at the finish line.
Martyn is a big fan of the Classic Touring Racing Car Club, saying “it’s for the older cars like Mark 1 Golfs and things like that”, and Joshua seems to be following in his footsteps.
