A KEEN Formula One fan from Moulton Chapel celebrated his 100th birthday with three generations of his family.

Champagne and toffee cake were among the treats for Jack Butters at a party hosted by his daughter Janet Chamberlain in the village.

The party was one of three celebrations for Mr Butters who also attended events organised by Moulton Chapel Methodist Church and the local Friendship Club.

Mr Butters, who has two children, five grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, received congratulations on his 100 years from the Queen and Government minister Ian Duncan-Smith.

Victoria Richards, Mr Butters’ granddaughter, said: “It was a very happy event, spent in the garden with wine and cake.”
