It’s time to reward our local heroes

Have your say

Unsung heroes from South Holland may get their moment in the spotlight – but only if you nominate them for a ‘gong’.

Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Service (CVS) is gathering your suggestions for worthy recipients for this year’s Voluntary Recognition Awards.

The 2012 awards honoured people like Martin Woods, who works tirelessly to raise money and awareness for the Sing South Holland Community Choir.

Now you can put forward names of volunteers, community groups, charities and businesses who make your town or village a great place to live.

CVS chief executive officer Ladey Adey said: “This is your opportunity to say thank you to those individual volunteers and community groups/organisations you feel make a difference in your community.”

• To nominate someone, download the Voluntary Recognition Awards form at www.lincolnshirecvs.org.uk, complete it and email it back to CVS or post it to the Len Medlock Centre, St George’s Road, Boston, Lincolnshire PE21 8YB.
