It was all smiles in the end when Act II popped in at Gedney Hill Primary School for a day of activities.
Pre-school children, the reception class and key stage one students explored different emotions as part of a workshop, including drama games, songs and a puppet show.
Alison Buddle, headteacher, said: “We wanted children to come along and experience school before they started properly – and this was a fun way to do it.
“Parents were able to come along and it was an excellent way for the children to get used to being here.
“We are also very keen to encourage use of the school as a community hub.
“During the summer we held free multi-sports sessions and we want to build on this.”
