CRICKETERS of all ages occupied the crease at a charity cricket match in Moulton hosted by John Hayes, MP for South Holland and the Deepings.

More than 100 people watched as a Lords and Commons XI, led by Mr Hayes, took on the Moulton Harrox Irregulars captained by club secretary Roger Grant for the John Hayes Moulton Harrox Trophy.

The match was played over the bank holiday weekend at Moulton Harrox Sports Field where a hog roast also took place with the aim of raising hundreds of pounds for charities to be decided by both teams.

Mr Hayes said: “It was a great success, the weather was very good and we’ve raised more than £500 so far.”
