PROPERTY sales are on the rise in Spalding, according to one of the town’s estate agents.
Staff at William H Brown say they recorded a 22 per cent increase in sales in July compared to the same time last year.
The firm believes it provides further evidence of an upturn in the housing market for the second half of 2011.
Branch manager Matthew Lamb said: “Despite a steady start to the year, we have seen a growing interest in home buying and selling as the year has progressed.
“Greater volumes of sales and mortgage applications all indicate that we will continue to see positive trends in the housing market over the next few months.”
The figures were made up of the net private sales for Sequence, the William H Brown’s parent company.
Mr Lamb said now is a good time for homeowners looking to sell their house to see how they can take advantage of the buoyant market.
