The latest fitness craze to sweep the UK has come to Spalding, with Aerial Dance classes being held at the South Holland Centre.

The new weekly classes led by Lauren Williams are for anyone aged 12 to adult who wants to work on their physical fitness, core strength and flexibility.

The classes centre around learning aerial techniques on hoop equipment and silks (two long pieces of fabric which you wrap around yourself whilst striking poses in the air).

Both hoops and silks are suspended from a ceiling rig and the entire body gets a full workout through mounting, climbing, dismounting and moving into routines.

Transported are running these classes every Tuesday in term time, 6.30pm to 8pm, until July 19, with the next session June 14.

Classes last 90 minutes and the cost is £6.
