ROTARY Club of South Holland scored a hole-in-one triumph by raising the best ever total topping £3,000 at its annual Charity Golf Day.

All 19 teams taking part – slightly down on usual numbers – enjoyed a game in beautiful sunshine at Spalding Golf Club.

Sponsorship of each hole, overall sponsorship by EMG Motors and Chattertons Solicitors and a raffle produced a great result for Rotary charities which will be divided between local good causes, national and international.

The winning team of four representing Broadgate builders were each presented with a £50 Marks and Spencer voucher and bottle of wine.

South Holland Rotary president Peter Start said: “It was a great day and we’re very grateful to all our sponsors and donors.”
