HOLBEACH councillors have been spreading their goodwill to a deserving cause from their pot of community cash available to give away.
South Holland district councillors Rita Rudkin and Martin Howard gave £500 each from their Designated Councillor Budget – the £4,000 allocated to each councillor this year to support community projects.
The money went to Holbeach Town Band’s training band.
Holbeach Town Band leader Mel Hopkin said: “It was funding to help set up our new training band.
“They arrived as the training band was playing and listened to them play.
“It will be a contribution towards music and set up costs of the training band.”
