ANIMAL rehoming charity Lincs Ark has received a £1,000 boost thanks to a Holbeach charity shop.

The Boston-based organisation has been awarded the cash by the Chosen charity shop in Fleet Street.

Charities can apply to the shop, which sells items and clothing donated by the public, for help with funding.

Lincs Ark is a small animal rescue centre, which mainly looks after cats, dogs and other small animals, and was chosen to receive the cheque to help provide things such as vaccinations and food for its animals.

The cheque was presented to Michelle Franks and Julie Brooks, of Lincs Ark.
