A FAMILY-run Indian restaurant in Holbeach is hoping to continue its success by expanding into Spalding.

Abu Rasel, whose father Rafique Miah runs the Chameli Tandoori in Holbeach, has taken over the former Mango Lounge restaurant in Spalding.

Mr Rasel says the restaurant on the corner of Pinchbeck Road and Westlode Street will be given a new look and a new name, Tulip Tandoori, over the coming weeks.

“Chameli Tandoori was established in 1989 and we are doing really well,” he said.

“We have a lot of customers who come from Spalding. There is a demand for it.”

It is hoped the restaurant will be ready to open by the beginning of March.
