A hog roast and square dance held at Holbeach Community Centre has helped to raised nearly £6,000 for charity.
Jenny Pennington and Chris Foreman teamed up to organise the event for two charities which are close to their hearts.
Breast Cancer UK and Prostate Cancer UK will both be receiving the money raised at the event and through donations.
The night featured a hog roast by Trevor Sharpe of Gosberton, music from Higgeldy Piggeldy, a raffle and an auction.
Jenny said: “We’ve raised £5,800 so far and the night went wonderfully well.
“People’s generosity has been overwhelming and I want to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart.
“Chris and I have both been treated for cancer, and when you’ve been helped in that way you really want to help others in the same situation.
“We are so grateful to everyone.”
