It seemed as though most of Holbeach was involved in this year’s Community Flower Festival.
Not only was All Saints’ Church decorated to the theme of All Things Bright and Beautiful, but many other community organisations got into the festive spirit to ensure a full programme of entertainment.
There were school choirs, martial arts, a dog show, teddy parachuting, have-a-go at bellringing, live music, dance performances and more.
The flower festival took place at the church and the Reading Rooms on the five days leading up to Bank Holiday Monday.
Visitors were able to see an assortment of flower arrangements, art exhibits, dancers, organ recitals and choirs from Holbeach’s three schools.
Organiser Jane Francis said: “The theme was All Things Bright and Beautiful, and each display was themed around one of the lines from the well-known hymn.
“As part of that we had Songs of Praise led by the Deanery Choir, and that too followed the theme of All Things Bright and Beautiful.
“Craft and a variety of other stalls lined Church Street and there was a huge variety of entertainment aimed at all the family, such as the dog show, which is a very popular event.
“This is a community event brought together and delivered by a number of individuals and organisations within the community with the intention of bringing the community together.”
In addition, the Reading Rooms hosted an art exhibition by local artist David Tibbs.
