The hilarious dilemmas in the high street of a fictional town come to South Holland Centre in Spalding on Tuesday.
SADOS is presenting Acorn Antiques – The Musical! from Tuesday until the following Saturday.
Director Martin Tryrrell says the production, written by Victoria Wood, is an “affectionate take on Crossroads” and is set in an antiques shop.
Key characters are Miss Babs, Miss Berta and Mr Clifford, looked after by the faithful old cleaner Mrs Overall – played by Julie Walters in the original and by Trish Burgess in this version.
The story follows the financial woes that follow the decision by the Countess of Manchesterford to sell the entire high street.
Tickets are £12 and £10 concessions and shows are at 7.30pm each evening from May 21 to May 25.
