Spalding Folk Club is recruiting singers and players to take part in a world record attempt.

The club has signed up to take part in soundLINCS’ 15th anniversary celebration B15, which is taking place in Lincoln on Saturday, May 3.

The idea is to have 1,500 musicians and singers performing the same song in a variety of different musical styles and, as well as the folk section, there will be choirs, orchestras, rock bands and more.

Spalding Folk Club is looking for 100 “folkies” to perform a three-minute segment of the whole performance. They are looking for people to sing or play – squeezeboxes, fretted instruments, melody instruments and percussion. Contact 01406 381339.
