Spalding LIVES volunteer Angie Goodyear and organiser Gordon Kirk promote this year's Santa 5K Fun Run and Walk.

The organiser of Spalding’s 5K Fun Run and Walk is hoping to attract dozens of sprinting Santas to raise money for volunteer lifesavers in the town.

This year’s event is on December 1 and organiser Gordon Kirk is inviting families and their pets to line up at Sir Halley Stewart Field for 10am, ready to run around town for Lincolnshire Integrated Voluntary Emergency Service (LIVES).

Gordon said: “This is the fifth year of having the fun run which is both a bit of fun and a chance to give something back to society.”
