Members of BSC (British Sugar Club) Fishing Club in Spalding had their rods and tackle at the ready to help one of their own former colleagues.

A charity fishing competition was staged at Lake Ross Caravan Park, West Pinchbeck, in support of Andrew Grantham who was a BSC club member for 30 years until he was diagnosed with motor neurone disease (MND) in February.

About 20 anglers competed for the Andrew Grantham Shield, won by Andy Kelk from Spalding, and the day raised £400 for the MND Association.

Andrew’ wife, Julie Grantham, who helped organise the event, said: “i’d like to thank everyone who made it such a special day for Andrew.” (Photo supplied).
