Chain Bridge Forge in Spalding welcomes people who would like to have a go at blacksmithing.
A taster session lasting a couple of hours costs £30, and that covers all equipment and materials used.
Friends of Chain Bridge Forge chairman Geoff Taylor said the forge actively encourages people to get involved – either by having a go with the forge or acting as volunteer helpers.
The forge is regularly open to the public and can take school groups of about 30. Its series of summer activities for children were all booked up quickly, says Geoff.
Blacksmith Chris Hammond particularly enjoys the visits from children.
He said: “It’s nice to see their faces light up and how interested they are and they go away with this little thing they have made.
“For some of them, the experience will stay with them and they may pick it up later in life.
“If you get kids that are interested it’s a pleasure to teach them, and they ask a lot of sensible questions.”
