Star Wars and Harry Potter actor Warwick Davis helped draw the crowds to The Exotic Pet Refuge at Deeping St James on Sunday.
The actor is patron to the centre, which cares for around 350 animals, and had a busy time signing autographs for his many fans.
The pet refuge exists entirely from public donations, with much of the money coming from open days.
Centre owner Pam Mansfield said: “We made about £5,000. We always do well when Warwick is here. The kids love him and the parents do as well.”
Exotic Pet Refuge opened in 1997 and cares for a wide variety of wild animals – most of them “misfits” like pets that have become too much of a handful for their owners and zoo animals that don’t fit in.
Among the animal stars enjoying the limelight were meerkats, snakes, lizards, Cinders the monkey and Major the porcupine.
