Hamish the bear is travelling the world to raise money to help elderly people in Bourne.
The cute cuddly has been adopted by staff at the Anglia Co-operative foodstore in The Burghley Centre and he’s part of their year of fundraising for the Butterfield Centre. Store community champion Steve Diamond said: “Staff from the store and the Butterfield Centre will take Hamish on holiday and photograph him at landmarks . We’ll try to get him sponsored for every trip - £1 for this country and £2 abroad. We have other events planned, too – including hamper raffles and sponsored cycle rides and walks.” Last year the store raised over £1,600 for the Bourne-based Galaxy of Stars, who support families of children with learning difficulties
