The charity, Guide Dogs for the Blind, is seeking a volunteer treasurer for its fundraising group in Spalding.

The treasurer is a key part of the local fundraising group, keeping income and expenditure accounts relating to all branch activities.

You don’t have to be to a Carol Vorderman but an aptitude for numbers does help, as does accurate record keeping.

Rebekah Shepherd, from Guide Dogs, said: “The treasurer is a responsible role which will suit anyone who has a head for figures and an aptitude for monitoring and reconciling income and expenditure.

“It is an excellent opportunity to extend or develop new skills, and to be part of a team of volunteers who are making a real difference to visually impaired people, helping them to enjoy independence and mobility”.

The Spalding group also need more general volunteers to assist with street collections and carry out general fundraising activities.
