The latest from our girl about town...
Angel was almost knee-capped the other day, somewhat ironically, by a disabled car passenger flinging her door wide open across the pavement.
Might Angel respectfully remind passengers in a similar situation to take a peep in the nearside wing mirror before potentially flooring innocent passers-by? Or they could just look out of the window.
Luckily Angel dodged out of harm’s way.
* Fortunately Angel is an avid follower of politics and is eagerly awaiting the results of the General Election – not to mention the potential partnerships that might spring up over the next few days if there is a hung Parliament. That said, won’t it be nice when TV returns to normal?
* It’s time to say a big thank you to all of those teams of flower arrangers who have made our churches look even more amazing than usual. Angel dropped into St Peter and St Paul’s Church, Gosberton, where the flowers were fabulous ... and the home-made teas were amazing. Where else can you buy a cup of coffee and a hunk of truly divine chocolate cake for £2?
We may have lost the Flower Parade but let’s keep this wonderful tradition alive with our churches.
Perhaps it’s a sign that we don’t visit our churches as often as we should because at Gosberton Angel picked up a couple of colour leaflets, one advertising the Magic of Music on September 12 and the second the Christmas Gift Fair on December 5 and 6.
* Angel had to hold on to her wings in the wind when she flew around a pretty 10-mile cycle course during the Spalding Velo Prix guided rides. She really recommends you get on your bike and discover it – but maybe wear padded shorts. Ouch!
