Members of the popular Fenland Woodturners Club are looking forward to making use of a new lathe bought thanks to a £500 grant from Lincolnshire Co-op.

The group meets on the last Wednesday of the month at Spalding Common Community Hall for demonstrations, discussions and bring and show sessions. Anyone interested in finding out more can call treasurer Trevor Blackburn on 01775 767917.

Mr Blackburn said: “It is quite a popular group, with around 50 members and we are extremely pleased to have received the grant for our second lathe, which is more portable and will enable us to take our woodturning out and about a bit more.”
