A group of children from a Sutton Bridge school had grand designs when they saw builders working on an extension.
Des Ford, managing director of D Brown Building Contractors said they spotted little eyes watching them over the fence while they were working on the four new classrooms at Westmere School that will be ready for the new term in September.
He said: “We arranged with the school for them to have a go a bricklaying.
“It was too late for them to work on their new classrooms so they built a little wall of their own.
“We had about 40 children working on the wall.
“They each got to lay a brick and did a really good job.
“I think there may be some budding building apprentices here.”
