1st Gosberton Scouts got its first Chief Scout in 1991.

Ben Pole (15), of Gosberton, was presented with the highest award in the movement from Chief Scout Garth Morrison in the grounds of Lincoln Castle.

The badge itself was presented by District Commissioner Geoff Stoner at a scout meeting in Gosberton Primary School.

Ben, a scout for ive years, had to cook a meal for four over a wood fire with no utensils, describe a museum visit and other things to earn the award.
