Staff and friends of Johnson Community Hospital in Spalding donned tuxedos and party gowns for the annual ball.
Held at Springfields Events Centre in Spalding, the event had a James Bond theme and raised £12,000 for two good causes.
The ball is organised by the Johnson Ball Committee, made up of Simon Temple, Sally Brown, Anne Cudlipp, Terry Chapman, Cherry Immink and Joel Gibbons.
Mr Temple, committee chairman and head of Clinical Services for south east Lincolnshire, said: “The annual ball for the hospital was a huge success.
“It was great to see so many staff with their families and friends enjoying themselves in their tuxedos and party gowns.
“I am delighted to present cheques to the League of Friends and the Charitable Funds for Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust for £6,000 each.”
The Bond theme brought a touch of class to this year’s ball held earlier in the summer and attended by more than 500 guests.
Entertainment included music from The Sensational Soul Band, guest artist Will Silver (see below left) as well as a casino royale plus a disco.
A Scalextric track and electronic shooting range added to the fun of the evening, as did a couple of Bond girls.
And, after it had previously been announced that the ball would be the last, guests were buoyed by the news that a new committee had been formed to take the event forward into 2016.
Plans for next year’s event are already taking shape. It is scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 9, 2016.
