A young woman from Spalding has set up her own dance school for children in the town.
Gina Bunn (21) recently graduated from University of Bedfordshire with a 2:1 in Dance and Professional Practice and has started up dance glasses in Spalding.
Gina starts her Dance Motion dance classes at St Paul’s Primary School in the town in November and hopes that she can pass on her passion for dance to her students.
Gina said: “I want to share my love of dance and my knowledge with others - I love working with kids and I am fully qualified and insured, and I am CRB and DBS checked.
“I want to offer something different to students – I want them to be able to learn a mixture of the different styles each week and collaborate with me with what songs they would like to dance to as most importantly I want it to be about them and what they want.
“At the end of each term they can invite their parents, carers, friends and family to come and watch and celebrate what they have done.
“It’s also a way of making new friends and pulling creative ideas together.”
Gina is putting on contempory, jazz and hip-hop dance classes, as well as dance fitness which allows anyone to go along and have a go at dance.
Gina said: “It’s a good, fun way to keep fit and the environment in my classes will be relaxed, inspiring and comfortable. - you don’t need to be a fantastic dancer, just make sure you wear something comfortable and have a great time.”
The classes, which begin on Saturday, November 1, will run every Saturday, apart from during half terms and school holidays, and Gina hopes to put on performances eventually.
