Have your say

MANY friends of Rita Nottidge among the volunteers who have staffed the Spalding Oxfam shop over the 19 years she has been its manager got together at a tea party in her honour.

Past and present shop staff, especially Pat Rhodes in her mid-90s who doesn’t appear in our picture, were at the West Pinchbeck home of founder member of the Spalding branch of Oxfam Betty Matthews where Rita was presented with their gifts.

Betty said: “We had a lovely afternoon to say farewell to Rita and thank her for her hard work as a volunteer manager over 19 years. We’re missing her very much already.”

The gifts included a bouquet of flowers, a £25 garden voucher and cash.

The Oxfam shop in Station Street, facing Sheep Market, has a new manager Gary Peatling who is still appealing for more volunteers to come forward.

Pop into the shop or ring him on 01775 760229 to find out how you can help.
