Fine weather greeted an open gardens event held in Deeping St Nicholas held to raise money for village church and chapel’s youth organisations.
A steady trickle of people visited the nine gardens and also enjoyed a butterfly trail set up by local farmer Nicholas Watts, which took in his garden and some of his land.
One of those who opened her garden, Jayne Cooke, explained: “We have a flower festival every two years and we thought it might be nice to do something in between.
“The weather was nice after some early drizzle and we had quite a few visitors.”
It is not yet known how much money was raised.
