Bourne United Charities and Bourne Arts and Community Trust (BACT) are holding a fundraising event for Wake House this Saturday, November 26.

A table top sale, with gift and charity stalls, takes place at Wake House, North Street, Bourne, from 9.30am until noon.

Tables are available to hire for £5 in advance or £7.50 on the day.

BACT is starting a £300,000, five-year renovation project at the grade II-listed building bought by Bourne United Charities in May and one of the first tasks will be to work on the entrance.

Greg Cejer, company secretary and trustee of BACT, said: “Trustees have already met to identify potential sources of grant funding but we will need to match-fund that from our own monies.

“We hope the table top sale will become a regular event on Saturdays in Bourne, with charities encouraged to come and take up a stall to raise money for their own causes, as well as for Wake House.”
