SUNDAY’S sizzling sunshine added to the fun at Glen Park as the crowds turned out to enjoy a host of attractions put on by Celebrate Surfleet.
It was the third big fun day organised by the community group and the biggest yet.
Celebrate Surfleet chairman Tony Blissett said: “We get more and more people interested in coming to us with different stalls and displays.
“Compared to last year there were twice as many things on the field for visitors to become involved in.
“It was an absolutely brilliant day. We have got some great feedback. Everybody really enjoyed themselves.
“The one factor that made it was the weather.”
Among attractions on the field were a renovated helicopter, which was piloted in from Leeds, and children were allowed to sit inside as well as try out a helicopter flight simulator.
More down to earth pursuits included a Zumba dance display, drama with Act II, gladiator style fun fights, bungee runs and swing boat rides.
The hundreds of visitors had the chance to browse a variety of craft stalls and sample refreshments including Laddies ice cream.
