South Holland band Zebra was one of three bands to play at an open air concert organised at the Sir Halley Stewart field in Spalding.

Mike Pender’s Searchers and The Glitter Band also performed at the concert and World’s Greatest Music Station disco.

However, organisers Peterborough-based Swallow Promotions had hoped for a better response from people in the Spalding area.

Just 250 people watched the gig, but Zebra lead singer Sandy Melrose said the event was well-organised and enjoyed by the people who were there.
