Free Lincolnshire Volunteer Card training is now available to everybody aged 16 and over.

The next course will be running at Holbeach Reading Room in Church Street, on Monday and Thursday next week, from 9.30am to 3.30pm both days.

The new initiative offers current and potential volunteers free training in skills that are essential to volunteering in a wide variety of roles, including customer care and working to good practice standards. The skills are also relevant to paid work.

Participants, who must be aged 16 or over, also have a chance to develop skills in an area of personal interest.

Once they’ve completed their training, volunteers receive a certificate and a wallet-sized card, which is recognised countywide, and endorsed by Lincolnshire County Council and the Lincolnshire Health and Well-being Fund.

Volunteers can register for the course by calling Children’s Links Sector Support team on 0845 373 0645 or email LVC@childrenslinks.org.uk.
