FOUR lambs were born to a single ewe at Orchard House Farm, Gosberton Clough, on Monday.

Farmer Ashley Kerfoot (47) said: “We do get triplets - and we have had quite a few this year - but we haven’t had four from one ewe for probably 30 years. It’s very rare to get four.”

The sheep are looked after by Ashley’s wife, Vikki (27), who has a very busy time in the lambing season, and she delivered the quads. The farm - which trades as W R Kerfoot and Partners - currently has 45 ewes and two rams.
