Spalding and District Flower Club held its annual opening evening at South Holland Centre where Lancashire demonstrator David Fawcett-Roper was the guest.

About 100 members and guests were inspired by a presentation of a classical arrangement of seasonal roses, alliums and delphiniums.

Club member Hazel Dobbs said: “It went very, very well and David was very good.”
