Five floors of Moulton Mill had a floral makeover as part of Spalding and District Flower Lovers Club’s 55th anniversary celebrations.
The talented group created more than 30 stunning arrangements, highlighting key features of the mill’s architecture.
There were even decorations adorning millstones and wheat was incorporated in those floral arrangements as a nod to the mill’s real purpose in life.
Steep steps were the only “trouble at mill” for arrangers carrying flowers and equipment.
“You have to go down them like you would a ladder,” said member Jo Gray. “You have to go backwards.”
Jo described the magnificent mill as “absolutely lovely” and said arrangers were delighted to hear their efforts earned good comments in the visitors’ book.
Spalding and District Flower Lovers Club meets on the first Wednesday of the month at 7.15pm in Spalding Grammar School (except August and January).
It is keen to welcome new members and anyone who wants to give it a try as a guest can attend at a cost of £5.
