PROCEEDS from a community cricket match between Lutton and Long Sutton have been presented to two charities.

Giant cheques for £670 apiece were handed over last week to Lutton Parish Church and Lincolnshire Air Ambulance, both nominated by winning team the Old Luttonians, at Lutton pub The Jolly Crispin.

The cricket match, the first ever played by the Old Luttonians, was held at Long Sutton Cricket Club on August 12 and followed by a barbecue, raffle and live music back at The Jolly Crispin.

The match will now be an annual event and next year it will be Long Sutton’s turn to nominate its chosen charities.

The day made a total of £1,336.90.
