PARTY-goers in Donington stepped back to the 1980s to raise cash for The Fire Fighters Charity.

Almost £850 was collected at the event at Donington Community Centre by retained fireman Ady Allgood and his wife Michelle.

Some 150 guests had joined in the fun at the end of April.

Michelle said: “We had a successful evening and would like to thank everyone who came along and those who donated raffle prizes.”

The couple, who live in Maple Way, will both take part in the Great North Run as their next fundraiser for the charity in September.

The Fire Fighters Charity provides support to serving and retired fire fighters, support staff and their dependants.
