Firefighters at Crowland fire station will be armed with buckets and sponges on Saturday hoping to make a splash for a good cause.
The crew will be getting ready to wash visitors’ cars in a bid to bet last year’s fundraising total for the Fire Fighters Charity.
The station is one of 11 across the county taking part in The National Car Wash, the charity’s biggest fundraising event of the year which raises cash to help serving and retired firefighters and their families.
This year Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue will be working hard to top the £2,000 they raised in 2013.
So if your car needs its wheels washing or bodywork buffing, drive into the station on Thorney Road between 10am and 2pm.
