Brit star Tom Hardy (The Dark Knight Rises and Inception) headlines this re-imagining of the brutal action series that brought Mel Gibson to prominence.

In this apocalyptic story set across a stark desert landscape in the furthest reaches of our planet, Max Rockatansky (Hardy) – trying to mend after the loss of his wife and child – teams up with the strong-willed Furiousa (Charlize Theron), as they battle for survival where almost everyone is stark-raving crazy, fighting for the necessities of life.

About A Boy and X-Men: Days of Future Past’s Brit favourite Nicholas Hoult co-stars alongside Zoe Kravitz (The Divergent Series), Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (Jason Statham’s girlfriend and star of Transformers: Dark of the Moon), with Hugh Keays-Byrne – who actually starred in the 1979 original – as the film’s main villain.

With early reviews being extremely favourable, the buzz is strong for this film potentially launching a new blockbuster franchise.
