There’s plenty of buzz (even early Oscar talk) surrounding this sci-fi adventure – which sees Matt Damon’s astronaut Mark Watney stranded on Mars.
During a manned mission to the Red Planet, Watney is presumed dead and left behind by his crew after a fierce storm, but now with only a month’s worth of supplies he must try and survive on the hostile planet for up to four years until the next mission – especially if he can’t get a signal back to Earth that he is alive.
And if he does, to what lengths will his colleagues and the powers-that-be go to get him back – with potentially billions of pounds at stake to do so.
An all-star cast, including Damon’s Interstellar co-star Jessica Chastain, Kristen Wiig (Bridesmaids), Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years a Slave), Sebastian Stan (Captain America: The Winter Soldier), Michael Pena (Ant-Man), Kate Mara (Fantastic Four), Jeff Daniels (Speed) and Sean Bean (The Lord of the Rings), all join Alien and Prometheus director Ridley Scott’s ride.
