How to reduce fuel bills

Responders to Warmth, an organisation established by Lincolnshire County Council and which has the support of South Holland District Council, wants to hear from people who are eligible for help to heat their homes.
The scheme provides energy advice, loft and cavity wall insulation, emergency heater and hot water facilities, and also delivers food in emergencies, arranges repairs to heating and water systems, offers fuel support and supplies blankets and slippers.
Only certain people are eligible – check eligibility criteria at www.responderstowarmth.co.uk or telephone 0845 606 4566.
In a separate scheme, the district council offers an assessment service to improve energy efficiency in the home and work out how to cut costs. Lower fuel bills will soon outweigh the cost of the assessment. To find out about the assessment service, contact Riga Jansons on 01775 764832 or visit energysurvey@sholland.gov.uk
