Holiday homes in Norfolk

editorial image

We’re lucky that the beautiful north Norfolk coast with its endless sandy beaches and wild spaces beloved of birdwatchers is just around the corner.

If your family’s been enjoying days out along the stretch from Snettisham to Brancaster for some time, how’d you like to be able to stay for weeks in your own place there without having to stretch to a second mortgage?

McDonnell Caravans has been catering for people with just that dream for nearly 50 years.

The family firm, based at Gayton, King’s Lynn, offers you the chance to buy your own static mobile home on one of its seven holiday caravan parks starting at £7,000 second-hand and from £20,000 new.

No sub-letting of the homes is allowed, so all are strictly owner-occupied and strictly for holidays only - none of the parks is for residential use.

The parks are stretched out along the coastline with one at Heacham, one at Snettisham close to the RSPB lagoons which attract a rich variety of birds and two at Hunstanton with its huge range of fun activities for all ages, sea and beach-based sports.

Further south you and your family can buy a holiday home starting at £30,000 in either The Lifeboat or The Haven park at Thornham or in McDonnell’s attractive park in exclusive Brancaster.

McDonnell Caravans was launched as a caravan showground at Gayton by the father of the present MD Michael McDonnell in 1966 when it was selling touring caravans for £300 and static mobile homes for around £500.
