First signs of spring
The first signs of spring have started to emerge, with golden daffodils and white snowdrops blooming across the district.
Our photographers spotted a colourful show of daffodils on the banks of the River Welland in Spalding and came across snowdrops brightening up the grounds of St Mary's Church in Pinchbeck.
Meanwhile, visitors to Ayscoughfee Gardens in Spalding will be able to tiptoe through the tulips this spring thanks to displays to mark the 50th anniversary of Spalding Flower Parade.
Plant pots and borders in the grounds of the historic hall do not contain winter flowers this year.
Instead South Holland District Council is planning ahead for a special tulip display for the parade's golden jubilee.
District council neighbourhood services manager Glen Chapman said: "The tulips need to be planted well in advance hence the reason for there not being any winter flowers in the planters."
