There is probably hardly a child in the area who is not familiar with the Frozen story of the Snow Queen Elsa and the spell that has trapped her magical kingdom in perpetual winter – until fearless Anna and mountaineer Kristoff and his reindeer set out to break the charm.

The event at St Paul’s School was held in aid of Barnardo’s with a 90-minute appearance from Elsa and Anna, of Darling Princess Parties, plus fun, games and singing.

There was also a 30-minute slot for photographs and a two-hour disco, plus hot food.

Julie Winkett, organiser, said the school hall was packed and more than £400 was raised for the charity.

She said: “It was a brilliant night – so many children came and they all looked fabulous. We were really pleased.

“I’d also like to add a massive thank you to all who came and supported the event by attending.”
