It’s Holbeach Town & Country Fayre this weekend... and a world first.

Among the many attractions at the fayre at King’s Field, Fen Road, Holbeach, this Saturday and Sunday (10am to 5pm) is an unusual cabbage hurling competition.

If throwing cabbages across a field isn’t your thing, there are plenty of other draws.

These include hundreds of exhibits of vintage and classic tractors, cars, motorcycles and more, as well as children’s games and fun fair rides.

In the display ring, there will be exhibits of falconry, dog agility and more.

As well as the usual trade stands, craft tent, food stalls and bar, there will be an RAF flypast on both days.

Finally, live music and entertainment has been organised for both evenings.

Admission to King’s Field is £5 adults, £3 concessions and it’s free to under 16s.
